2001 Chevy Cavalier blinkers are both stay lit and mileage

the blinkers turned on run really fast. replaced both back and it still does it. the milage gauge seems to be out most of the time u can touch it and then it appears. Its also seems to be starting to not want to start when u first turn the iganation but then cranks over. what can i do and what should i do. any ideas on what i may be looking at in the futrue?

If blinkers are fast and bulbs are OK, then replace flasher unit under drivers side.

The gauge, most likely has an intermittent open circuit.
These units are not repairable, you need to replace it.
Best thing would be to get a good used one from a junk yard.
