2000 Chevy Cavalier overheating

My 2000 chevy cavalier I flushed out the radiator and put new coolant in it and now it is over heating and showing low cooliant and it did not do that before help

Hi:

Did you replace the thermostat? Also, are the cooling fans coming on? How dirty was the rad?

I will check thermastat but the was no problem before I just thought it was time to flush it out and now I have this problem. It never did this at all before. Why this now

Hi:
If this just started since you flushed the radiator, when the engine heats up, check all of the hoses to make sure none of them are collapsed (specifically, the lower rad hose)

Also, when the temp gauge says hot, is the car actually overheating?
