1998 Chevy Cavalier headlights

I turned my headlights on lastnight an they did not come on so I replaced all relays an fuses I have turn signals an dashlights but still no headlights or high beams I checked with a power tester light an when I turn the light switch on power goes to the connecters but no lights will come on I put three sets of lights to check to make sure they were not blown but they didnt work either what could be the problem

Sounds like a bad ground splice in the front of the car. Look for signs of corrision in the wiring by the front bumper

If your headlights will not turn on after the work you did, I guarantee it's the ground. The Cavalier has a negative grounding system, which means, the lights have to be ungrounded to turn on. This means that you cannot just straight ground it to work. When the lights are switched on, this is when they are grounded. When they are switched off they are ungrounded.

If you have a foglight system, you can ground your headlights through them but the foglight switch must be on for your headlights to work.

I had the same problem, so I know what has to be done.
