Sharon, I have the same car and have the same problem too. I changed my engine coolant and my mechanic said the fans are working just fine. He also told me that in the smaller cars, its normal for it to overheat or seem like its going to overheat because of its small engine. Many occasions where I've been stuck in traffic and it runs hot and I've put the car in neutral and it seems to go back to normal. I hope this helps !
