1997 Chevy Cavalier Two Wheel Drive Automatic 96406 miles

I need to find out what my problem could be. I discovered yesterday that my car would stall out at a stoplight only sometimes. Both the battery light and oil light would come on.

This morning I took it to an auto parts store and had them do an electrical diagnostics test. The test showed to replace the battery. So this was done.
On my wat to work, the car stalled out again with the battery light and oil light on again. What could it be?

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

If the check engine light did come on, what could the possible problem be? I am having the exact same problem with my car, and the check engine light is on.

If the light is on, that means there is a trouble code stored in the computer. Take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. Most will do it for free, and it will identify where the problem is coming from.
