Where is the crankshaft position sensor located and are there any special tools required to remove. I was told it's on the back side of the engine but I see 4 different sensors back there, would it be the one that is lowest by the crank & oil pan?

Where is and how do I replace the crankshaft sensor on a 2.2 liter Cevy Cavalier? I had the check engine light analized and it said that the #2 Cylynder was missfiring and that the cause was a bad crankshaft sensor. Please Help

It still ont' work because the crank sensor and wheel are 58x and you have 24x in your system. If you try to make it work you will have to replace with a different crank sensor and crankshaft to match

Hello, look on the backside of engine block, down low, you may have to get under the vehicle. The rpm signal comes from the crank sensor, if you lose the rpm signal going down the road, the vehicle dies. If the vehicle refuses to restart right-away, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs and injector pulse.
