Hi, I have a caprice wagon that will not turn over when I try to start it. I have a good new battery in my car and I made sure that its fully charged. I used a test light to make sure I have power going into the starter from the battery and from the small wire that goes into the starter selenoid when I turn the key to the start position. After buying a new starter and installing it the car still will not turn over but I'm still getting power to the starter and the starter selenoid. I even tried replacing my positive battery cable but my starter will not do anything when I try to start. What else do you think could be wrong with my car?

If your nuetral safety switch is bad or not in the correct position then you won't complete the circuit for it to start. Also there are wires called fusible links that if they are burnt up your car will not start. They connect to the same post as the battery cable. That could be what your problem is. It's easy to find, there will be ocnnectors about 6-8" up from the starter. Otherwise you may need to put a good ground to the battery from the engine. If you can get a starter cable/button to jump the starter then it should turn over.
