TODAY WHEN I STARTED IT UP IS LIKE IT GOT LOUDER AND MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOR THE FIRST TIME. THIS PROBLEMS COMES AND GOES, I FIRST NOTICED IT COUPLE MONTHS AGO, I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND THEY SAID I HAVE LOW OIL PRESSURE DUE TO A BAD LIFTER, SO THEY BROUGHT MY OIL PRESSURE BACK UP AND RELEASED MY CAR. THE CAMARO WAs ruNNING LIKE A CHAMP A WEEK AGO. I GUESS THE PROBLEM GOT WORST AND I NEED TO GUIDANCE BECAUSE I LOVE THIS CAR AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I HAD A OIL CHANGE LAST MONTH AND I CHECKED MY OIL LEVEL JUST IN CASE, MY OIL LEVEL IS GOOD AND I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP ME

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like from the pictures that you have an RS. You likely have the 3.8L V6 engine.

Well, if one of your lifters went bad, and the shop didn't change all of them, another may be bad. I suggest going to a new garage as well. Let the mechanics know a lifter was the cause of the last incident.

What may also help - switch to a heavier weight of oil. Typically, 5w30 oil is installed. I suggest using 10w30, mostly because after a few years, the parts just don't fit perfectly like they once did. I recently started using a product called Hy-per Lube that I get at Advance Auto Parts. It's a super lubricant, and it's around $7 for a 32oz bottle. Use one of them in place of one quart of oil, and it will help protect your engine.

Don't get scared, and don't let go of the car. :-)
I know I wouldn't let mine go.
