2000 Chevy Camaro, 100500 mileage. I just had a new power steering pump put on and the transmission worked on. I have had a problem the last few years with the Engine cutting out while driving. Its been very infrequent though. It's done it maybe 4-5 times in the 6+ years I've had the car. However, it did it on the freeway this morning and I noticed the oil pressure dropped to 0 and the "check gauges" light came on. This stalled the car. So I had to pull over and re-start it. I thought this was due to the power steering pump going out, but I had that replaced. Could it be the oil pump? Or something else?

Have the oil pressure checked with a gauge, if it's ok 10 psi per 1000 rpm's, replace the oil pressure sensor, if it detects low pressure it cuts the engine to save damaging it...
