1997 Chevy Camaro oil pressure

1997 Chevy Camaro 6 cyl Automatic

I have a 3.8 with very high oil pressure. what causes this and how do I fix it?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch could also be the gauge/wiring problem. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.
