The car just cut out and wont start there was some gas fume smell from the rear but it sounds like its not getting gas can you help

Try pulling the intake hose and spray starter fluid in then try to crank it. If it tries to start its a fuel issue. Check fuel lines pump fuses and or relay. Also do you hear a swirl sound from the tank right before you try to start it? If so the pump is running if not could be a bad fuel pump.
