My 1986 camaro, here's what's Happening. It's Barely Starting now, the Passenger side Spark Plugs are Covered in Sut, and the drivers side are fine. When it was Running, the Converter would glow red, so we changed it and the same thing happened, Plugs covered in sut, and converter still glow red, but started better and run better. So changed the computer in it, that did nothing. Check all air sensors etc. What do you think is wrong with it? Now acts like out of gas, and wont start, will crank and almost catch, but nothing? Any Ideas?

Is this a V8 or V6?
Throttle body or computer controlled carb?
What does the oil look like and smell like?
Does the exhaust blow out white(water in cylinders) or black(to much fuel) or blue(buring oil) smoke?

You need to do a compression check.
Pull out all the plugs and check each cylinder.
Since the driver side appears OK, I would use those number as a guide for the passenger side.
You might have a bad head gasket.
To much fuel or oil in the converter will cause it to run really hot.

I had an 86 V8 computer controlled carb.
Ran excellent. Sold it a 135 miles (bought a new truck).

Good Luck

Ok when I took it to get it worked on, it would start and then die almost instantly. And we thought it was the converter, so we changed it and it actually run Without quitting on me. But the old converter was just a little clogged up, nothing major.

Ok It's a 2.8 V6
It's computer controlled. But I changed it and put a new on in it and it never did anything. And the old one was fine.
I changed the converter and it actually started running a little better but I could tell something was still wrong with it.
Oil is fine, smells good, looks fine
Does not smoke out exhaust, did back fire one time which was Slightly Blue
Compression on passengers side was slightly below 100 and drivers side was slightly above 100, within 5 or 6. Like 98 pass, and 101 driver
What I do not understand is that the passenger side plugs are covered in sut, while the driver side are fine, that has to be electronic right?

Sorry, it usually does not Smoke, but has a couple of times, but nothing major. Color was like normal smoke, one time was blue rest was white.
