i have an 86 camaro iroc-z that im doing a motor swap in and i want to know if it will be easier to take the 5spd manual out with the motor or to take just the bell housing off the gear box? i have never done a manual transmission motor swap before. and can i also put a 73 350cid motor with a automatic on it in the camaro but still use my manual transmission with out doing any thing other then bolting it up?

Personnaly, I would pull it all together and then change over tranny's with it out of car. You will have to change over flywheels as standard and auto. are two different worlds. Other wise everything should bolt up but I would doublecheck the bolt pattern on the block where the bellhousing bolts on. :)
