While its not 100% necessary, at the point of replacing rings you've pretty much done 95% of the work of a full rebuild. Just remove the crank and you are there.
So. Pull the motor, disassemble, take block to machine shop etc. Etc etc. There are lots of books on the details.
You could just buy another engine (probably cheaper).
