1979 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

is there only one hot wire to and/or from the dist? I get power to the dist. But no spark to the plug, I put a new control mod in and still no spark. Could it be the coil? Its an hei dist.

Could be the coil, but did you change the cap? And rotor button? Here's the specs on the coil.
