Bum Blazer Window

This is going to seem so petty compared to the other entries, but I need advice. My 2002 Blazer driver's side power window has stopped working. I've had it fixed twice with the dealership soon after buying it new. THree months ago it stopped working again. It's not under warranty anymore and I have a great AC unit so I just let it be. I had a mechanic look at it while he was fixing something else on my truck and he said that the motor for the window needed to be replaced (about $300 for that thing). I decided to not have it fixed. For the first time since I got the truck back form the mechanic, I pushed the button for my window today and it went all the way down! I tried to roll it back up and it stopped after about 2 inches. So now I have a whole new problem with my permanently open window. It seems to me that its not necessarily the motor since it worked, but perhaps a loose connection or fuse of some sort. Any suggestions or am I just out of luck?

Well, I don't think it would be a fuse as when a fuse goes bad- it is bad. You possibly could have a loose connection in the wiring of the motor, but you would have to get into your door and check out all the connections. Meaning the door panel and armrest along with the control panels for whatever is mounted on there, also. Might be a not too hard fix if someone who can handle tools could help you out. Good luck and try to stay dry! :P
