I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer, 4.3, 4door, 4x4 with 106000 miles. My turn signal flasher unit continues to flash when my signals are not on. Sometimes coming on when I hit a bump in the road. I changed the flasher unit behind the glove box and it seemed to help for a while but now it is doing the same thing. I found out today that my 4way flashers do not work. Sometimes when I wiggle the switch on the column I can get my flasher unit to 'click' but no lights come on. My turn signals seem to work fine, most of the time the clicking does stop when I manually stop it, or the cancelling cam stops it. But I can still here it when I hit a bump and my emergency flashers still don't work.

I checked on recalls, it looks like the 2000 and early 2001 models were recalled for this issue.

You may have a bad Hazard switch. Take the car to a autozone or murrays and have the car scanned for codes, one thing they autozone will only do it if the check engine lite is on. If the lite is not on call murrays or which ever local automotive store you have other then autozone to see if they will do it without the check engine light on.

Keep me posted
