I made a sharp left turn and I heard a noise in the right back of my car sounding like a loud pop. Sound is intermittent and seems to happen only in the cold weather. The "service engine soon" light came on immediately after hearing this noise the first time 4 days ago. Does the service engine light come on at 50,000 miles to tell me to bring it in for a service check? Light is still on.

That light is telling a fault has been found in one of the systems. I would take it to your local parts store (Autozone, CSK/O'Reilly, whatever you have in your area) and have them scan the computer. Get back to us with the code(s)
