**********I am having a problem with my truck that no one can seem to figure out. My truck will not start, its turning over but just will not start. But the weird thing is, it will start and stay running when gas or starting fluid is put into the carburator but oince the truck is shut back off and sits for a couple minutes it will not start back up again. The fuel filter has been replaced and that did not help. Ive been told it could be the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator, Im just so confused on what the problem is, so if you could help me out with some options or maybe what you believe the problem is I would greatly appreciate it, thank you very much.*****************

Your problem is a faulty fuel pump. Also when you replace the fuel pump check the connector because there are a lot of problems with it overheating but trust me its your pump not regulator or anything else, this is so so so common. Hope this helps

I am a master mechanic and have worked for gm for ten years. Yes its the pump, your new pump will come with a new wiring connector if you buy a ac delco one which I strongly recomend, becaquse the connector where it plugs into the pump will melt from high resistance.
