2000 Chevy Blazer Four Wheel Drive Automatic 96,000 miles

I noticed since I bought this chevy Blazer last week that the gas gage bounces back & forth when I'm just sitting & is parked or just iddleing. Is this normal?It is o-k once I drive. Im worried it is not showing the right gas amount! "Thank You" Bonnie Johnson

So once your going down the road the gas hand stay in one place? If so then when your ideling the floater in the gas tank is not balancing right and not sending the right amount to the gauge also the gauge could be going bad or could be shorting out trace all wires from gauge for open or short circuits also check all fuses
