My car started to pull very badly to the right this went on for 2 days then pulled into my drive and the tire had a popping sound come from around that area of the front end. Got out and the driver tire was leaning in on top side. Took the tire off and the ball and upper a arm were seperated.

Oh sorry. Would this have been the cause of my car pulling the way it was? I can see that the lower was replaced so can I just replace the ball joint and not the control arm? And is it easy to do? Thanks

The ball joint came apart You have to replace it in whatever way the replacement part is sold. If it is only sold with a control arm, then that's what you have to change. This is all assuming no other damage was done when it came apart.

If the joint is sold separately, it can be replaced alone. Just be prepared that I believe the original is riveted in and those rivets will have to be cut or drilled out to get the old one out.
