No fault codes present(snap on red brick/OBDII), spark plugs changed, have good spark(EDI system), fuel pressure @ 62(CMFIsystem) when key first tuned on after couple seconds when pump shuts off pressure drops to 54. Timing is correct #1 tdc & rotor points to Notch w/#6 on it & crank marks line up. Car does not start, cranks & occassionaly back fires or burps thru carb. Old plugs were fuel soaked possibly from over cranking
Car drove fine on Friday, parked over weekend & would not start monday morning, Only cranks over. Checked all vacuum lines & wiring all looks ok.

If you have good spark, and you said they were fuel soaked, that doesn't make sense. Timing sounds correct. Have you checked all spark plugs for spark? Also, if you remove the new ones, are the wet again? Will it fire with starting fluid?

Let me know.

Joe,
First, Thanks for getting back to me on this. Friday I pulled all the plugs again(fuel soaked from tring to start again I guess), preformed compression test on all cylinders except #2(could not fit tool in due to steering column) all cylinders were good. I cleaned off plugs, oilled cylinders from overfuelling & reinstalled plugs, rechecked all timing marks, fuel pressure, checked all computer connections for corrosion & sprayed electric Motor cleaner in them, checked all sensors & wiring, rechecked for vacuum leaks all ok. Still would not start. I pulled the fuel pump relay from box under hood & tried to start off starting fluid, back fired thru intake. I kept the relay for pump out & cranked it, it caught a couple of times. I kept on it & it started. Had to do this a couple of times until I could leave the relay in & it stayed running. Must have been a wiring issue of some sort. Knock on wood it ran today to & from work.
