1996 Chevy Blazer problems opening hood

is there another way to open the hood besides the hood release inside the vehicle, somehow last time my husband closed the hood it got stuck or something, the hood release is pulled all the way out and we still can't get it open.

remove the grille and use a bent hook to pull the release lever. However one thing to try first. With the handle pulled use your hand and give the hood a sharp smack on the corners in the front. The sudden shock may free the latch.
