My 96 blazer has an oil pressuer of 40 psi when it is first started and cold but as the engine heats up the oil pressure drops the hotter it gets the lower the pressure gets until it is in the red when I give it gas it goes up the back down when I let off the gas I just put new head gaskets on it a new crank, oil pump and oil pressure sendind unit and it still does it why no it does not rap at all if I dont fix it will I have a problem later

There is too much clearance somewhere in the engine, possible cam bearings, does the engine rap at all hot or cold? If not dont worry about it.

I have worked for gm for 10 years. That engine needs as little as 3psi oil pressure when hot. Remember your oil pressure sending unit is at the very end of the oil pressure line. I would leave it alone. Its my opinion and is what I would do, unless you want to completely overhaul the engine again.
