Hi,
Its a 1996 Chevrolet Beretta with a broken cam-timing chain. Any idea of the cost to repair? Also would you suggest a professional auto mechanic do the repair or is it something you need to pull the engine for?
Thanks!

Depending on what rpm the engine was at you could have way bigger problems than just the chain. If the valves hit the pistons then its junk. That bends the valves, rods, and damages the pistons. Have a pro put the chain in it and do a cylinder leakdown and compression tests to see if it has a chance.
