I recently changed the cap, rotor and spark plug wires. The day ichanged them, it started fine and ran great. The next morning I went to start it and it would not start. The fuel pump is working fine and we checked all connections and checked for spark, but there did not seem to be any spark at all. Could this be caused by a faulty ignition coil?

Welcome to the forum, it could be a faulty coil. I'd check primary voltage at the coil, probably a small two wire connector. Unplug the connector, use an led testlite between the terminals at the connector, the lite should pulse, engine cranking. I can't recommend you replace anything without doing some testing.
