The engine cranks but wont start, I dont hear the fuel pump engage as usual when I turn the key. How can I tell if it is the fuel pump, relay, sending unit or something else?I sprayed starting fluid in the air cleaner and it started for a second, any advice? Thanks in advance.

Find the fuel pump relay, in the power distribution center, under the hood. Unplug the relay, look at how the terminals are numbered. The 30 and 87 terminals are for the switch side of the relay, one of those terminals should be hot all the time, the other carries voltage to the pump. If you use a jumper between those two terminals, the pump should run. You can check fuel pressure. You probably should use an inline fuse on the jumper. The voltage for the coil side of the relay comes from the computer, it's either the 85 or 86 terminal, sometimes these diagrams get the numbers backwards. With the engine cranking, that terminal should be hot. With the initial prime, that terminal should be hot for a few seconds then it goes dead unless there is an rpm signal.
