1998 Chevy Astro Won't start

My 1998 Astro won't start, I have spark, and I smell fuel. Engine cranks but won't start. Any ideas on what else to try?

Is the spark a hot blue snapping spark? If it is and you are getting fuel, you have either a timing issue or a compression. Let me know if you need directions for checking those.
