1998 Chevy Astro Problem starting my van

Hi! I have a 1998 Chevrolet Astro van that I really like but I have an unusual problem. This started 2 years ago. It has happened 3 times since then. The problem I am having is sometimes it just will not start. It turns over like it is supposed to and the fuel pump is working and the injectors are receiving fuel. It just will not start. I can go and try and start it a few hours later and it cranks right up like its supposed to. I have taken the van to an auto repair shop so they could read the computer with their machine and they pick up no error code. I am on total permanent disability and I really need this to be dependable every day. Could you please help me? Thanks, Jerry

Could be the security system. Turn the key to on for ten minutes, a full ten minutes. Then take the key out of the ignition then try to start it, you may have to repeat the steps three times.

I am not sure if my van is set up with a security system as when I bought it used they just gave me a key. Maybe it does have a security system I do not know. The next time this happens though I will try your expert advise. It sure makes sense to me. Thanks a million. Jerry
