1988 Chevy Astro turns off

Hello please help my astro van turns off when i stop at a light and when i turn it on. Some times it stays on then it turns off, i need to idle it so it doesnt turn off. i changed the spark pluges, put a carbu kit, and cleaned it throughly, also cleaned the dist. cap. the thing is that i drive and it turns off, or i start the van and it also turns off, not all the time please help me. Becuase we are leaving this week in a road trip and we need the van. thank you God bless.

Check the fuel pressure to rule out a failing fuel pump if okay could be the coil, distributor pick-up coil and ignition control module, also could be the ignition switch.

well i had all things changed and the last thing i did was changed the fuelpump and that was it, i forgot to check the fuel presure, thak you.
