Check engine light, on symptoms?

Hi,

The fuel trims are good. Did you not if the voltages changed when you hit the throttle? They are at the outer limits, so I'm curious how they reacted.

I went through the manual again. I attached the diagnostics below that we need to follow. Don't be overwhelmed. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Hello Joe,

I haven't started checking out the list of diagnostic info you sent but let me run something by you and get your opinion. Is it possible for a bad or going bad PCM OR ECM to throw faulty codes? The reason I ask is on this rig you can check your average mpg running through a sequence on the dash. The last time I checked this it was going bonkers. Anywhere from 8 to over 50 mpg. So, I am wondering if the computer is bad?

Hi,

Yes, the PCM could cause a false code. However, the code diagnostics are usually related to checking the PCM.
