Now and then I would go to start it. It would not start. When I pumped the pedal, it would sort of run. If I stopped pumping it would shut off. This could go on for a few minutes. Then it would start and be fine for weeks. Out of the blue it would happen again. Then one day nothing. I changed my leaking tank, new pump same float and pump holder. No start, pump not running with key on. Jumped B+ and FP with key on it pumps. Checked fuel flows out from filter. I did not pressure test it. Have not checked injectors for fuel. How can I test or check the computer? What sensor can prevent it from starting? Is there a place to get a rebuild computer if needed? Thank you.

It is unlikely that this is a sensor issue as it does sound like a fuel issue.

However, we can't rule anything out yet.

Basically, we need to start with checking for injector pulse on the cold start injector.

I would not suggest just replacing the injector, but this is a common issue from the cold start injector. So, let's run through the testing below and we can confirm the fuel pressure as well and then I would replace the injector.
