The vehicle had a new alternator and battery both put in but the car does not start unless it has a jump. It instantly shuts off upon jump cable removal. Technician I work with said it could be the mega fuse 175A (I believe). What is it? Where is it and how do I check if it is actually good still?

Good afternoon.

What is the voltage of the battery even though it is new?

What is the charge rate when the engine is running?

It is not the fuse. If you jump start it, the fuse is good. If it was blown, nothing would work at all and it would not take a jump.
