Car will not start

My car was running all day then I get back in the car and it won't start. the battery is brand new and when I turn the key a you hear is a click. And when I tried it it was smoking a little bit.

More than likely the starter has failed. Here is a guide that will help with this:

However, the idea that it was smoking points to a starter as well. Where was the smoke coming from?

I suspect you are going to have to replace the starter so here is the info from the manual but let's run through the info and we can go from there. Thanks
