I drive my car a couple hours and then when I shut it off for an hour or so the car won’t start.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Have you checked to see if you are getting spark and fuel to the engine? I have a feeling it may be spark. I noted that you are a mechanic. Have you scanned to see if there are any codes? Also, check to see what temperature the coolant temp sensor (CTS) it indicating the coolant to be when this happens and the engine is hot. Also, check for an RPM signal via your scanner to determine if it is related to the crankshaft position sensor. One last thought, you really need to check for spark and fuel to eliminate things.

Let me know.
Joe
