I have a 99 Saturn sl2 and it had 2 holes in the number 2 cylinder so my husband got a motor from a 98 sl2. The new motor is the same as the old one, 1.9L DOHC 4 cylinder. Now the car turns over, but it will not fire. There was 1/2 tank of gas in it but it was very old so we drained almost all of that out and put fresh gas in it today. There is about 1/8 of a tank in it now. It almost started today but when my husband checked the fuel pressure we still smelled old gas. We also checked the spark, and that is good. Could it just be old gas why it's not starting?
