When traffic is inching along,the temperature guage moves up into the danger zone.As long as I am on the expressway, no overheating problems are experienced.Also, I would like to know if I can replace a bad alternator with a 115 Amp Bosch instead of the 150 Amp.

The radiator fan motors are most likely not working. you need to have them looked at before you damage the motor from overheting

no, you meed to use only the alt for the vehicle.
