My car has refused to start, the ignition switch is good.I have called two mechanics and they couldn't start it. Am suspecting if water or oil is mixed in the fuel tank. It started just one. Day later after servicing it, it started but now, it cant start at all again for one month now. Please help.

Hi:

Has anyone check for diagnostic trouble code? Also, when you say water and oil mixed in the fuel tank, I'm not sure what you are referring to. Do you mean the coolant has mixed with the engine oil?

Does the starter engage and turn the engine? Has anyone checked fuel pressure or for ignition spark?

Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps. Also, let me know the answers to the questions I asked.

Let me know.

I poured fuel that is mixed with oil inside the car fuel tank. Will it affect the car from not starting?
The problem with the car is that the starter engages and does not turn the engine at all.
The fuel pressure ignition is sparking yet the car cannot start.

Hi:

I would think it would still start even with the mixture. However, after your last post, I have a different concern.

If the battery is good and the starter is good, why wouldn't the engine turn unless it was locked up or for some reason, one of the cylinders is full of fuel?

If you are certain that both the starter and battery are good and there are no weak connections, I need you to try one of two things.

First, take a socket that fits on the center bolt of the crankshaft pulley. Place a long breaker bar on the socket and see if you can turn the engine. Or.

Remove the spark plugs and see if the engine cranks. If it does, watch if fuel / oil come out of one of the cylinders.

Do this and let me know what you find.
