Car keeps shutting off

I have replaced both the alternator and the battery twice and had both tested, the mechanic said they were both good but the car keeps shutting off. I charge it over night but it will not hold the charge longer than a day after driving it. The battery light comes on and the car begins to stall and cut back eventually shutting off. I have heard plenty of diagnostics such as wiring. But I really need a solid answer as I am not trying to spend too much money trying to get it tested.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

First, although the battery is good and the alternator is good, is the power getting to the battery to keep it charged?

Here is what I need to know. Follow this link and simply check the voltage at the battery with the engine off and then with it running.

Next, I need you to check if there is a draw on the battery when there should not be. Follow this link and let me know the results.

Both of these tests require a basic multi meter/volt meter for testing. They are simple to complete and will help me better answer your question.

Let me know what you find.
