I have a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu 1.5L turbo that suddenly died while I was driving. It now cranks or tries to start but will not actually start. The dashboard lights work, but I hear nothing from the fuel pump. I have to press the push-start button again to stop the cranking.

My code reader showed these codes:

- U0073
- U007C
- U007D

I also discovered that the fuel pump fuse location under the hood is completely empty, with no fuse installed.

I need help figuring out why the car died suddenly, whether the missing fuel pump fuse could be the reason it won't start, and what I should test before buying a fuel pump or other expensive parts.

Please give me a step-by-step diagnosis and tell me which fuses, relays, wiring, or electrical connections I should check first.
