I can turn my engine over but it will not run. At first it was the anti theft system. I had to wait ten minutes then it would start. Then my gauges started acting crazy, dash lights flashing, and that went on for a few minutes. Then waited the ten minutes for the theft system and the car would start and run. Now I get delayed or no action from the gauges and dash lights. I can turn the engine over but shuts off immediately and nothing more. I need to know how to get the gauges working. On occasion we have been able to get the gauges and lights on and the car running by messing with the steering wheel and the shifter but when we turn it off it is anyone's guess if it will start and run again.

Hello,

This sounds like you have an ignition switch that is not working. Here are diagrams to help you change it out. The switch is inside the steering column you will need to remove the cover. Also check the battery and connections.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
