Replaced both camshaft sensors because of car malfunction and subsequent error codes. The car still will not start. And if I do finally get it to start it runs very rough and then shuts off.

The code does not necessarily just tell you to replace the sensor. Trouble codes never tell you to replace a sensor. Instead, they might tell you about an electrical short in a circuit, or out-of-range signals coming from a certain circuit, or something along those lines. According to ALLData, other causes of this code are: (1) Bad connectors (2) the camshaft itself (3) a weak battery (4) a bad starter, (5) a problem in the starter circuit. Personally, I doubt 4 or 5 is the problem.

So, take a good long look at those connectors. If possible, probe them with a multimeter to see that consistent power is coming in.

Good luck!
