Thanks for the information guy. Helping my sister it on a timing belt and replace timing system and the crankshaft and camshaft position sensor, but still no cranking up! It's turning over but cranking. Can you please give me insight on what else need to be done? Thanks a lot.

Hi,

This is a different Joe. I noted that you replaced the timing belt and both sensors. I don't know what all has been checked, so bear with me. Are you getting spark to the plugs? Here is a link that explains how to check:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-an-ignition-system

If you are getting spark, see if it will start for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, it is fuel related. Here is a link explaining how to check pressure in general:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

Here are the manufacturer's specs for pressure:

______________

2006 Dodge Charger V6-3.5L VIN G
Pressure, Vacuum and Temperature
Vehicle Powertrain Management Fuel Delivery and Air Induction Fuel Pump Fuel Pressure Specifications Pressure, Vacuum and Temperature
PRESSURE, VACUUM AND TEMPERATURE
Fuel System Pressure
400 kpa ±34 kpa (58 psi ± 5 psi)

_____________
If you have both spark and fuel, are you certain the timing was correct before replacing everything? I attached a pic indicating all the timing marks. Check to confirm.

_____________

Let us know if this helps and what you find.

Hi,

Chris, I noticed he didn't get back to you. I believe this only has one cam position sensor. I attached the pic below showing its location.

If there is a specific diagnostic trouble code you have, let me know what it is.

Take care and let me know if this helps. Also, starting with pic 2 are the directions for replacing the cam sensor.

Joe
