Hello TEE87,
My information is telling me for the 3.6L, part number 12636175 is the part number you should use for all four.
More than likely GM just changed them all to the same part number to save production cost and reduce overall inventory. This is called a supersession and happens all the time.
However, because this happens all the time, I would write down your entire 17-digit VIN and call your local Chevrolet or GMC dealer and ask for the parts department. Tell them you need a quote for these solenoids and see if the part numbers have changed, again.
Also, I recommend replacing them with OE parts from the dealer. Also ask them if there are any one-time parts that need to be replaced when this job is done.
Other information for you:
The engine RPO code or Regular Production Option is LY7. This can be found on a label either in the glove box or in the truck on the spare tire cover. I have added a picture for you of this label.
**The torque spec for these is all the same, 89 lb. In, I suggest borrowing a torque wrench or buying one to make sure they are in the correct position and won't loosen up.
Also, use a little clean, fresh oil on the O-rings on the solenoids before installing to prevent damage to them.
I would also perform an oil change with a factory filter and Dexos approved Mobil 1. These have little screens in them and can get clogged easily. Keeping your oil clean is essential in preventing any further issues.
Dexos oil is a specialized oil type made exclusively with synthetic blends. It is a type of motor oil that fits a certain set of criteria and exceeds severe requirements, allowing your vehicle to meet the most recent emissions rules while also improving fuel efficiency. General Motors (GM) introduced Dexos oil in 2010 as a way to reduce engine friction and reduce vehicle emissions. The technology has been developed in partnership with the company Dexos Energy.
In case you need them, I have added removal and installation instructions for all four solenoids and the removal procedure for the air cleaner, so it is out of the way, so you have room to work.
I have also added an image from the GM catalog showing the solenoid.
Please let me know if I can assist further.
Thank you,
Brendon
