Ok, sorry about the advance.

Can you hook it back up and give us the high and low side pressures while running? Pressures never are a sign of freon level but it will help us in determining other operations

Hello,

The two service ports are near each other on the refrigerant line headed from the condenser to the evaporator. Here is a diagram and a couple of guides to help you get the problem fixed.

and

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

Air Conditioning problem
2000 Cadillac Deville V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I understand that a loud ratchet or clicking noise comming from dash when air conditioner is on is a popular problem on the Devilles. Does any body actualialy know what is problem. It sounds like when a vent door is operating some gear is slipping.

There is an actuator for the vent doors down by the gas petal, the gears strip out, operate the system and put your hand on it if you can to ck it

I recently experienced a clicking noise under the dashport (driver seat). How difficult is to repair this problem. The repair shops gave me different astronomic repair estimates. Do you have a manual that will guide me through to resoilve this problem?
Thank you

In most cases, it should be 30-35 lbs. The high side should be 2 times the outside temp plus 15%
