2003 Cadillac Deville Pollution control system

My check engine light came on, I decided to take it to a garage and they put it on the scanner and it said pollution control system. I never have heard of this. What can fix this? Also what will this run me money wise?

Pollution control system is rather general. Did they give you a description of what code was being set? If you can provide the trouble code(PXXXX), it would be more beneficial in getting you some accurate advice. You can enter diagnostics and get the codes yourself, unless they were cleared, and have not reset. If you press info up, and on/off(key on) and hold them until all the segments light up, your info center will display ALL. You can use the info button up, or down, to scroll the modules alphabetically. Go to PCM, and press ON/OFF. From there you should see PCM CODES, press ON/OFF again and record the codes. Include that info in your reply to post, and I will help you as much as possible.
