I need to replace the multifunction turn signal lever?

I need to replace the multifunction turn signal lever on my 1995 Cady. I've tried to take it out as this picture shows [img:d48f4b160c]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/131028_cruise_control_lever_1.jpg[/img:d48f4b160c]for a 1998 to no success. Is the 1995 different then the 1998?

Hello,

In order to replace the multifunction / turn signal switch, the steering wheel needs to be removed first.
That will allow you to access to remove the switch.
Remember to take extra precautions when working around air bag inflators. Never point the inflator towards you or anyone else.
