Vehicle battery posts were loose and when attempting to charge battery, the immobilizer was enabled. Now attempting to bypass immobilizer. Have tried Drivers Door Key reset but the tumbler is seized and cannot get the key in. What else can be done to disable immobilizer so that the vehicle will start?

Hi,

Unfortunately, this is the only way that I am aware of. However, to my knowledge you are not bypassing but more disarming it.

Here is a guide and if you scroll half way down you will see Nissan specific info that tells you basically what you were doing.

At this point, it may be worth while to try and break the tumblers loose by spraying a penetrating lubricant into it and let it sit then work the key back and forth and repeat. Hopefully you can get it working to perform this process.

Thank you! I appreciate the insight and the link. We will try a lubricant to see if we can loosen the tumbler. Otherwise, I guess it'll have to be towed to the dealer!
Regards!
