I am experiencing an intermittent issue where upon hard acceleration burning oil can be smelled (only once have I seen dark colored exhaust during hard acceleration). This seems to be only when the engine is still cold and close to 5,000 RPM's. The vehicle was at my local Ford dealer within the last two weeks for new tires, an oil change, and other miscellaneous items. And during that visit the service adviser didn't mention any issues that needed to be addressed.
This being my first vehicle with a turbo, I'm wondering if this sort of behavior is normal, especially when the engine is cold and the ambient air temperature is below freezing.
Thanks in advance.
