Bought new starter and installed it but car wont start. Im getting a clicking sound and can feel it clicking in the cruse control. If I jump the starter with cables the car starts with key in on position yet wont start using key. Is it in the cruse control or other elect part?

You need to be sure the battery has a full charge and all connections are good. The purple wire at the starter solenoid should be hot with key in the crank position. If that is hot, check the starter field terminal. That is the connection that goes from end of starter solenoid down into starter motor housing. Is hot with key in the crank position. If that checks out, check all grounds.
